Before you perform the trick, take one of your cards and fold it in half. Glue one of the folded sides to the back of your other card so it creates a frame that allows the front card to stand on its own. You should still be able to “close” the card to give your audience the illusion that the card is normal.
In one of your lightweight cups, add some tissues – this will absorb the water and make it disappear!
Show the Card
Show your audience the card, keeping the folded card hidden from view.
Set up your card & place the cup
Without showing your audience the “frame”, stand your card upright.
Then gently place the lightweight cup on top of the card.
Now pour your water into the cup!
Make the water disappear!
Now take the cup with the tissue paper in and pour the water into it.
Wave your hand over the cup to make the water magically disappear! For an added flourish, hold it over your head!
