Natoons is a collection of animal toys developed by Kinder. With the Natoons collection, your child can learn about animals while playing with the physical toy or the digital world of Applaydu.

Children can learn different facts about the animals and their environments. There are many activities available in the app which stimulate their imagination and development while helping children learn to love and respect nature.

CHAMELEON

Most chameleons live in trees, although some live under dead leaves on the ground.

Chameleons use their tongues to catch insects. Their tongues can be almost twice the length of their bodies.

Fun Fact: When chameleons want to make friends, they will change their look to brighter colours.

FLAMINGO

Flamingos live in lagoons or big shallow lakes in warm climates and can live in saltier water than most other animals.

Flamingos are known for their pink colour and that colour comes from their food! The darker their colour, the more appealing they are to mates!

Fun Fact: Flamingos use their bills to sift out algae, crustaceans, shrimps, and molluscs. Their food makes them pink!

Bison

Bison live in forests and hilly areas. They rest under the shade of trees and in caves during hot weather.

Bison are strong and enjoy grazing in herds. Those horns of theirs protect them from threats!

Fun Fact: Bison are important to the ecosystem of their forests! Their grazing helps balance plant growth where they live. Wow!

HORSE

We're all familiar with domesticated horses, but there are also still wild horses. Different breeds of wild horses are all over the world!

Unlike domesticated horses that eat human-made food, wild horses graze on a variety of grasses and shrubs.

Fun Fact: A horse can run as fast as a car, but most do not. They have several gaits, called a trot, canter, walk, and gallop.

ELEPHANT

Some Asian elephants live with humans, but wild elephants prefer to be close to water.

Elephants are herbivores, meaning they eat plants, fruits, and veggies. Yum!

Fun Fact: Elephant tusks are actually giant, long teeth!

RED EMPEROR

Red Emperors live in the Indian Ocean and western Pacific Ocean. Young Red Emperor fish have stripes!

Red Emperors are carnivores! This means they like meaty foods. They eat shrimp, krill, squid, and other fish.

Fun Fact: In the wild, red emperors can live up to FIFTY years!

HAWKSBILL TURTLES

Sea turtles live in the Indian Ocean and are named for their beak-shaped heads used to reach food!

Hawksbills mostly eat sponges but they also eat stinging jellyfish. Their armored heads protect them from stings!

Fun Fact: Hawksbill turtles have been around for 100 million years. That's much longer than humans have been on Earth!

LION

Lions are the only cats that live in a group or pride. Members may be apart by day and then hunt together or share a meal.

Lions are carnivores and eat mostly animals with hooves. Their tongues are rough to remove meat from bones.

Fun Fact: The lion has the LOUDEST roar of all the big cats!

PANTHER

Black panthers like hot tropical rainforests and live mostly in South and Southeast Asia.

Panthers are carnivorous. They love to eat deer, wild hogs, antelopes, and monkeys.

Fun Fact: Panthers have great eyesight. It's seven times better than humans.

RHINO

Different rhinos like different climates. Some like tropical, some like grasslands, and others like the tall grass of the plains.

Rhinos are herbivores that prefer long grass and bushy plants. They need to eat a lot to keep up their weight!

Fun Fact: The rhino is the fastest large mammal in the world! It can run up to 55 kilometres an hour. Get outta the way!

SEAHORSE

Seahorses live in water among seagrass beds, mangrove roots, and coral reefs, in shallow temperate and tropical waters.

Seahorses anchor their tails to seagrass and suck plankton and small crustaceans in through a tube-like "nose."

Fun Fact: Seahorses have no stomach or teeth!

TIGER

Tigers can live in rainforests, grasslands, savannahs and even swamps, but tigers are in danger of soon becoming extinct in the wild.

Tigers are carnivores and mainly eat sambar deer, wild pigs, water buffaloes and antelopes.

Fun Fact: Tigers have existed for a LONG time... two million years!
