Salt

Kitchen salt, otherwise known as sodium chloride, is perhaps one of the most common natural minerals, made by chlorine and sodium.

Ingredient

Salt can be found in the form of marine salt, when drawn from sea water, or as rock salt when extracted from deposits where pre-historic seas once stood.

Other than being an excellent flavour enhancer, salt is our primary source of the element sodium. Our bodies need salt, but always in moderate quantity. It has been proven that elevated levels of sodium consumption increase blood pressure and aggravate associated diseases.

Kinder selection and quality control

Kinder uses very little quantities of salt in its products. We only add what is needed to bring out their natural flavour. We use both sea and rock salt which is refined and then subject to stringent checks.
