Why we need packaging

Packaging is important to help maintaining the taste, quality and freshness of our products, and to protect them from external contaminants, such as bacteria or pests.
Moreover, it provides information on portion size and ingredients to help people make informed purchasing choices.

Working with multiple materials

We prioritise those materials that are easier to recycle.

Our approach – the 5 R

When designing our packaging we use the “5R Strategy”, to optimize the use of materials and improve circularity, while ensuring our usual high standards of safety and quality.

Packaging progress

We have re-designed some of our packaging using single-material, removing non-recyclable material combinations, and sometimes replacing plastic foils with paper-based alternatives, thus creating opportunities to reduce the overall amount of plastic used.
