Sustainable packaging

Sustainable packaging

Why we need packaging

Packaging is important to help maintaining the taste, quality and freshness of our treats, and to protect them from external contaminants, such as bacteria or pests. Moreover, it provides information on portion size and ingredients to help people make informed purchase choices.

Our commitment to more sustainable packaging

The contribution we can make through packaging is key to reducing the environmental impact of our products, that’s why Kinder supports  the Ferrero Group's commitment to:

OBJECTIVE

90%

Ensure that at least 90% of all our packaging is designed to be reusable, recyclable, or compostable.

PROGRESS AT 2024

90.7%

90.7% of our packaging is already designed to be recyclable, reusable or compostable.

Our approach – the 5 R

When designing our packaging we use the “5R Strategy”, to reduce the use of resources and the waste produced, while ensuring our usual high standards of safety and quality.
