fats and oil

We use different types of fats and oils in the preparation of our Kinder recipes.

< >

For each product we balance the fats naturally present in our ingredients like milk, cocoa and hazelnuts, and the ones that we add.

We mainly use vegetable fats, such as oils and cocoa butter, but also anhydrous milkfat
We do not use hydrogenated fats in any of our recipes.

We use different types of vegetable oils across our treats:

Coconut oil

is used in Kinder Bueno and Kinder Chocolate Ice Cream.

Sustainable palm oil

is used to give our treats their smooth and creamy texture and to ensure that their texture and flavour stay constant over time.

We are committed to using deforestation free sustainable palm oil, with 97% of our oil traceable back to plantation. The palm oil we source comes from plantations in Malaysia, Indonesia and South America which are certified by the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).

Sunflower oil

is used in the swirls and sauces of our Kinder Ice Cream.

Shea butter

obtained from shea tree nuts, a wild plant from west Africa, and is used to enhance the taste and consistency in products like Kinder Delice, Kinder Happy Hippo, and Kinder Joy.
